Monroe County Electric Cooperative (MCEC) is an electric power distribution system. It was established by farmers in 1938 as a nonprofit corporation in Illinois. Today, MCEC maintains 1,200 miles of distribution and transmission electric lines serving more than 6,700 local farms, homes, and businesses.
The LITE HVAC Solution
MCEC sought an eco-friendly and sustainable solution to regulate the climate of their versatile space, utilized for a multitude of purposes including meetings, training sessions, vehicle maintenance, and storage.
The LITE HVAC System’s solution provided MCEC with a quantity of (two) 20-ton indoor cooling systems strategically positioned within the facility. This placement ensured optimal and tailored temperature management across the entire space while staying true to MCEC's dedication to energy conservation. Other features specifically added to this project were a double-wall base section for sound attenuation, a single-point power connection, louvered outlet system, fire protection interlocks, DX cooling coils, and air-cooled heat pumps.
